David McDonald, Executive Chairman

David McDonald has 20 years’ experience in property, commercial and business law, with particular emphasis on property and land development, contract drafting and advising on contractual issues. Prior to starting a business with a trading name David McDonald Legal in 2013, he had worked for McDonald Pynt Lawyers in Fremantle since 2003, leaving as Managing Director in 2012. During that time the firm grew to be one of the largest legal practice in Fremantle and, was in 2008, acquired by a subsidiary of the Count Financial Limited listed on the ASX. Prior to commencing at McDonald Pynt Lawyers, David McDonald worked for a national Australian law firm and a boutique Perth litigation practice.

David McDonald Legal acts for ASX listed companies with extensive property holdings and franchisors with a large number of sites as well as mining companies and other commercial property owners. He was involved in advising on a wide range of retail and industrial land developmental issues throughout Western Australia.

David McDonald is a director of the Fremantle Foundation Ltd, which advises upon and helps to facilitate personal philanthropy in Western Australia. He is also a board member of the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce which is the oldest chamber of commerce in Western Australia.

David McDonald is currently based in Perth, Western Australia.

Keng Hock Seah, Finance Director

Keng Hock Seah, B.Bus, graduated from Curtin University, Australia with a bachelor of business degree. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia in 1989 and became a Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants in 1990.

Keng Hock Seah has more than 16 years’ experience in senior financial management positions in businesses located in Australia and overseas. He spent the early years of his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is now a director of Stratman Services Pty Ltd in Australia. His experience of working in the commercial sector includes both private and public listed companies such as the SGX listed Informatics Holdings Limited, Lindeteves-Jacoberg Trading Sdn Bhd and more recently Worldwide Online Printing (Aust/NZ) Pty Limited.

Keng Hock Seah is currently based in Perth, Western Australia.

Timothy Bangura, Director of GSR Africa and Country Manager

Timothy Bangura is based in Sierra Leone and, to date, has had primary responsibility for obtaining GSR Africa’s Exploration Licences. He is also responsible for ensuring that GSR Africa complies with its obligations under the Exploration Licences obtained. Timothy Bangura has many years of experience with artisanal/small scale precious minerals and he currently holds 10 per cent of the issued share capital of GSR Africa and is also a director of GSR Africa.
Timothy is currently based in Sierra Leone.

Hassan Kargbo, Exploration Manager

Hassan Kargbo holds BSc Hons in Geology and has more than 9 years of technical experience in minerals exploration, mine development, mining geology, mine management, mine dewatering, environmental management and business development at both junior and senior level. Hassan has extensive experience working in West Africa terrains and has great understanding of the regional diversity and culture. Prior to working with Golden Saint Resources, Hassan held a number of positions as senior exploration geologist and project manager responsible in managing and overseeing geological activities involving minerals such as diamonds, bauxite, iron ore and gold.

Hassan Kargbo is currently based in Sierra Leone.

Sallau Deen, Geologist Manager

Sallau Deen holds a BSc Hons in Geology and has approximately 7 years’ combined industry experience in gold, diamond, bauxite, coltan and iron ore. He has been with the Company since September 2013 working as a Senior Geologist. Prior to joining Golden Saint Resources in 2013, Sallau Deen held a number of in house  geologist and consultancy positions, for both private and public companies.

Sallau Deen is currently based in Sierra Leone.

Nathan Tan, Project Manager

Nathan graduated with B. Eng (Hons) with a Cert. in Project Management from Curtin University, Western Australian. He joined Golden Saint Resources in 2013 and has worked in the Sierra Leone Operations Division and acquired 2 years of experience to date in Western Africa. Nathan has worked within the fields of exploration, feasibility, project development and mining where he has become a part of the highly successful team that developed a strategy to uncover GSR’s first diamond discovery. He is also responsible for compiling the data and studies for all GSR’s licenced areas and currently is managing Tongo, Baja, and Moa exploration activities which include Airborne Geophysical Surveys and the on-going bulk sampling programmes.

Nathan is currently based in Perth, Western Australia.

Gerard KC Hooi, Business Development Consultant (Asia)

Gerard is a Singaporean who has a vast experience in managing investment and development plans for various companies in South East Asian region. The business activities of these companies range from landscaping, sports & entertainment, aviation, property development and trading. Gerard advises these companies on their investment decisions and requirements and also in sourcing for potential investors and business deals. Gerard is currently the Managing Director for Novus Holdings Pte Ltd and is an advisor for Concept Dynamics International Pte Ltd (CDI).

Gerard was a Director (Projects) of Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE), a company formed (in 2006) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Trade & Industry (Singapore). As the Director of Projects, Gerard was responsible for the business development and structuring of deals involving SCE.  Gerard interacted with and advised many foreign government officials and other private sector and institutional representatives on behalf of SCE.

Prior to joining SCE, Gerard was in the banking and financial services industry.  During his time in the industry, Gerard was an investment (securities) banker with a leading Singapore bank and then as a private banker in a global Swiss Bank.

In recognition of his public service and participation, Gerard was conferred the Pingkat Bakti Masyarakat (PBM) by His Excellency SR Nathan, President of The Republic of Singapore, during the National Day Awards 2001.

Gerard is currently based in Singapore.
